Did You Know? Antelope are related to the cattle group. Unlike deer, antelope keep their horns for life. When Armadillos are frightened they roll into an impenetrable hard ball of bone armor. Buffalo or bison almost became extinct. Now thousands roam in national parks in North America. |

| Did You Know? Bears eat berries, fish, and honey. A bear's thick coat protects them from bee stings. Beavers live in lodges on river banks. Beavers dam rivers to maintain water levels. Camels store fat in their humps, which they convert to water needed for desert life. Chameleons can quickly change colors when weather or feelings change. |

The ancient Romans and Assyrians prized the ferocious Mastiff for hunting. |
